well i completely understand your point of view.you didnt grow up doing this its not in your genes. you just dont like to see animals getting killed by us but you dont know how this deal works .we kill and eat the deer.hunting has been going on since well .forever without it you wouldnt be here.ask yourself this question .would i rather see a deer get killed and eaten by a hunter orr run it over with my car possibly killing myself and whoever is with me at the moment . feel free to reply

well if there were TO many deer . they would just die of disease and consume all the food … predators would live closer than they already do , including mountain lions,coyotes,bears,ect.terrorising not unly us but our pets.. raccoons and other small critters like squierrels and mice are a naussience and need to be kept on check . thats why we killed them …im not trying to make you hate us … im just trying to make you understand….. thats why we do what we do

ok, hunting has been around long before humans have been, and without it, we never would have evolved into the species we are today. if anyone has any questions about hunting’s true meaning, look up the video Michael Waddell Tells all, it is the true meaning of hunting

What is the song that is used for the opening of this show? I can’t think of what it is for the life of me.

All animals are takin with respect for life and are consumed. Hunters also preserve wildlife more than any other group. What have the anti’s done for wildlife you ask, simply, nothing. Has peta ever transplanted Elk? What about the Wild Turkey? How many grain feilds and waterfowl impoundments do antis plant? NONE. Have they done any good? NO. Will they ever start preseving wildlife? NO. If you want wildlife healthy 100 years from now contribute to Groups that help not hurt. Hunters?

Guess what ernest, human intelligence HAS created protected areas for animals to live and die naturally. Although I believe hunting is a natural way for any animal to expire, there are plenty of national parks, state parks, and wildlife refuges that act as sanctuaries for elk, deer, etc. Oddly as it may seem to a non-hunter, all the wildlife refuges are funded by the state’s fish and wildlife department which is paid for by hunters and fishermen.

As far as this video is concerned, there’s one thing I have to say. Before I say this, I have been a hunter my entire life and don’t even frown on shooting a bull with a big rack, but what the fuck dude, saying that elk was from Chernobyl and had radiation sickness? They’re ALL gorgeous animals, 350+ rack or not. It’s guys like you that truly are antler-only hunters that get the anti’s panties all in a bunch and they perceive us all that way. Thanks. (insert sarcasm here).

Thanks for the reply. I’ve changed my mind about hunting when I watched some other videos showing how livestock, including pigs and poultry are raised in appalling conditions, truly cruel, before sending them to slaughterhouses where they are killed with “methods” which, by be cheaper, do not save these poor animals of the most horrible pain and long lasting suffering. Compared with that hellish show, hunting seems to be one of the most benevolent ways of death for any species.

I read the comments and I’m so happy that there are people in the world that gives hunters respect and understands that hunting isn’t all bad.

Should of taken that one lots of good meat mature just had a small rack. Now next year theres gona be twice as many of the small bulls then large on because hes gonna be the only one to reproduce.

@NickLikesToSweepPick
maybe that’s why it’s called bone collector, becuase they’re hunting for racks, dunno made sense to me. I would like to get me an elk one day, I hear they have lots of good meat on em.
February 18th, 2010 at 2:36 am
Oh man, it is the best tasting meat I’ve ever tasted.

I bet it is, I killed two whitetail last season but I don’t have any elk around, I’d have to go somewhere, but I’m sure it would be worth it.

Right on man, bet they were good eatin’. And yes, elk hunting is unlike any experience I’ve ever had, especially during archery season. I would recommend hunting either central Idaho, southwestern Montana, or eastern Oregon.

I’ve seen them hunted on tv and YT and asked people personally, I hear it’s loads of fun, saw Ted Nugent kill one at 75 yards with his compound bow, it was amazing!
