A wildlife official says a plan to reduce an elk herd could be used across the country if it works in North Dakota. The National Park Service has started taking applications for volunteers to shoot elk in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park`s south unit from November through late January.

NM Selling 5,000 Big Game Hunting Licenses It’s not too late to get a license to hunt deer, elk or javelina in New Mexico. The Department of Game and Fish plans an online first-come, first-served sale of 5,000 licenses next month.
