nice bull i live in colorado so i see lots of elk and i to bow hunt it is a huge thrill and suck a great reward when you get one so i under stand the tears of joy!!!!!!! i also liked the fat dip in yuor lip i chew to!! but awsome bull!!!!! congrats
Way to go! Are you in the Yacolt Burn area? You don’t need to tell me anything — took me 5 years in Gifford Pinchot Forest to get my first black tail buck! Had a bull elk walk right up on me on road 4205 a few weeks after elk season was over… Hope your friends were true and pedaled up there to carry your bull out.

yes the elk gods are raining down upon me. We had an unbelievable season. Flinging arrows was the theme this year.We filmed an unbelievable show with 5×5 before i took him at 10 yards! We also took 2 big cows and i shot a 4×7 blacktail the second week! Will have video and pics soon! Peace!

no kidding, that would of been some good stuff to add to those following days that unfolded. Very hard to have it ready when things unfold out there. very nice having someone strictly on video. even though i care about the hunt 100% it is nice to have for memories and those who dont ever get to see what goes on out there. it’s amazing how much we hunters get out of what we do isn’t it brother? Just the fact that it brings tears to your eyes when your stalk becomes success just sows the tree huggers how much passion and spiritual connection there really is for hunting… Everyone thinks it’s all about killing

So quick hunting question. Rifle hunter for about 20 years now and I am ready to make a change for a few years into bow hunting. Do you like the bow you use? Would you recommend it? Who says it’s not a joyful experience? I get immense joy when I bust my ass, pursue, and then take an animal. We would have been extinct a long time ago if not for hunting. The sad thing is that many people have all been spoiled by fast food and grocery stores, nobody sees where true food comes from anymore. You’re all fat, lazy, spoiled, and pumped full of artificial hormones. You’re the one’s who are disgusting. Hunting has always been part of the human condition and it is here to stay.
